2023 Annual Meeting Weekend Fishing Tournaments

2023 Annual Meeting Fishing Tournaments

By Richard Collins, Director #6146 Life

In conjunction with our Annual Meeting the first weekend of September we have two fun fishing tournaments.

They are the John Overholtzer Youth Memorial Tournament and for adults the Russ Privett Tournament.

Both tournaments begin the day before our Annual Meeting at 7AM on Friday and go straight through till Saturday morning at Noon. That is 30 hours of fishing for you and your family to win some pretty awesome prizes and cash to be awarded during the NCBBA annual meeting.

What do you have to do to enter either tournament? Simple, be an active NCBBA member and attend our Annual Meeting.

How do you have your fish entered into these tournaments? Take your catch to any tackle shop that is listed as an NCBBA approved weigh station (listed in this newsletter) and have them provide you with a signed receipt of your catch stating the length, weight and time weighed.

Prior to the start of the annual NCBBA meeting submit your catch(s) to any of our directors there.

Where can you fish? Anywhere on the beaches of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. NO Piers or Boats and your feet need to be in the sand.

Who is eligible to fish in these tournaments? Any active NCBBA member or their paid guest for the annual NCBBA meeting.
