President – Al Adam #13459

PRESIDENT NCBBA

Al has served in the past as Director and chairman of the Resource and Conservation and the Fund Raising Committees. He has made some inroads in both of those committee areas and hopes to help current Directors in those areas. Al is currently serving as President after being Vice President from 2016 to 2022 and a Director for 2 years prior to that. He hopes to address procedural needs of the association while further promoting our mission. As a devout surf fisherman he is determined to do what he can for his fellow NCBBA members, his family and the public to enjoy open access to our beaches. Al first visited the Outer Banks in 1959 and has been a regular since the 1970s. His wife, Maryanne, and he built a cottage in Salvo in 1986 and his two daughters, their husbands, three grandsons two granddaughters and extended family enjoy the venue on a regular basis. His permanent home is in Bath, NC which puts him in convenient distance, two hours, from the Outer Banks. He will continue to serve you in any fashion that he may and after having the honor of being a judge at several Red Drum Tournaments and seeing the excitement of those catching or attempting to catch fish, he is even more committed to assist in doing everything possible to enhance access to our beaches.
